  • Application deadlines are published for one year at a time and are the same for all committees.

  • Submitted applications for the approval of research projects (project applications) and general research biobanks (biobank applications) and applications for dispensation from professional secrecy requirements for research that falls outside the Health Research Act (dispensation applications), will not be transferred to the reception office at REC before the first application deadline after submission. Applicants may therefore withdraw their submission and edit such applications until the next deadline.

  • Forms other than project applications, biobank applications and dispensation applications will be received at the time of submission.

  • In principle, new project applications, biobank applications and dispensation applications will be distributed to the REC in the geographical region in which the Chief Investigator for projects and the Responsible Manager for general research biobanks have their main workplace.

  • New applications will be distributed to other REC offices if a REC receives a disproportionate number of new applications.
