Receipt of Confirmation

  • When submitting the online form or email, an automatic email confirmation will be sent to say that your submission has technically been completed. For electronic forms this is also a technical control of form completion and attachments.

  • Since an application for approval of a research project or a general research biobank or an application for dispensation from professional secrecy requirements can be withdrawn until the next deadline, the automatic receipt cannot be used as documentation that such applications have been submitted.

  • For such applications REC will send confirmation of receipt after the deadline has expired. The confirmation contains information about the case number, whether the application is accepted for review by the Committee, the Committee which is to consider the application and the expected processing time.
