Vitenskapelig tittel:
DIGNITY IN MATERNAL HEALTH SERVICE DELIVERY: a cross sectional clinical survey on factors that enhance or compromise dignity in maternal health service delivery: Perspectives of Women and Midwives from Southern Malawi.

Prosjektbeskrivelse:
The aim of this cross sectional study is to investigate the factors that promote or compromise dignity in maternal health service delivery in Malawi. The study will identify areas that need to be addressed to motivate women to access institutionalized maternal health services. The results will also form a basis for future research in this area. 119 postnatal women and their midwives from three different hospitals (a central- and district hospital and a health centre), will be interviewed by using a questionnaire. Eight Focus Groups will be used to shape the questionnaire to the study, and the questionnaire will be pilot tested on other hospitals before taken into use.
