Kan danseterapi benyttes til å bedre livskvalitet hos ungdom utsatt for vold og overgrep?

Vitenskapelig tittel:
Improving Quality of Life Using Dance Movement Therapy for Maltreated Adolescents in Residential Care: An Interventional Study

Prosjektbeskrivelse:
Dance movement therapy is a great way to express emotions that are sometimes not easily expressed verbally especially for children who had maltreatment in the past, while for those who have difficulty using words it can offer a new way of communicating. Moreover, dance movement therapy has been shown to increase confidence, social and communication skills as well as improve self-esteem and overall attentiveness in individuals. Our aim is to explore if dance movement therapy can be used as an intervention to improve the QoL of maltreated adolescents living in residential care in Lithuania. This will be done by conducting a study using dance movement therapy in a group therapeutic setting.
